Quality & Logistics Leaders Surveyed on Roles & Responsibilities in Temperature Controlled Pharmaceutical Supply Chain

IQPC announces that quality and logistics team leaders will participate in a “Family Feud” survey on responsibilities in temperature controlled supply chains at the 9th Annual Cold Chain Management & Temperature Control Summit. Being held February 22-24, 2011 at the Westin Prince Hotel in Toronto, Ontario, this is the largest and most comprehensive Canadian event for cold chain and temperature sensitive pharmaceuticals.

This year, the Cold Chain & Temperature Summit introduces a take on the popular game show “Family Feud” in a discussion entitled “How Much Do You Know about Your Supply Chain and Quality Teams?” During this session, supply chain and quality professionals will be surveyed on each other’s roles, functions and responsibilities.

Representing the Quality functions:

  • Mandy Wagner, QA Project Manager, EMD Serono
  • Sandra Usik, Associate Director, Regulatory Affairs & Quality,Eli Lilly, Canada
  • Dr. Mary Mazur-Melnyk, Chief Scientific Officer, Innovalinks Quality Consultants

Representing Supply Chain functions:

  • Silvia Castellarin, Manager, Transportation Canada, Johnson & Johnson Medical Products

“The purpose of the questions is to underline the knowledge gaps that exist between the different teams. We hope that organizations will develop workable solutions to bridge these gaps as a result,” comments Courtney Becker-James, Conference Director of the Cold Chain & Temperature Management Summit.

Following this session, a panel discussion will concentrate on how to successfully integrate quality into everyday logistics operations.

The audience for this event includes senior management professionals from pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, wholesale, pharmacy, packaging and logistics companies with responsibilities in QA/QC, global and domestic supply, distribution, transportation, packaging, warehouse management and regulatory affairs.
